Again a beautiful single egg is laid with stunning pattern variations. These eggs were collected both for a food source and for their upmost beauty. This artistic arrangement shows how the smokey, heavily blotched patterns spiral around the egg, resulting in nature at it’s best.Like the Guillemot the Razorbill lays a single egg, in crowded surroundings, it may well be that the individual patterning helps the parent birds to identify their egg amongst the throng of black heaving bodies.
